First let me say this, Josh Cribbs has been the Browns MVP the last two years. After no NFL team drafted him Cribbs signed with the Browns as a free agent in 2005. Cribbs has been nothing short of spectacular on special teams, setting a Browns single season record for kickoff returns (61) and return yards (1494) in 2006. Josh has already returned 5 kickoffs and 1 punt for touchdowns in his short career. Cribbs is also on the kick and punt coverage teams making 93 tackles so far in his four years.

I say lets find out how special Josh Cribbs can be. Now I know a lot of you will disagree with what I'm about to say but take Cribbs off special teams and put him on offense full time. Play him some at slot receiver and some at RB. Get him a lot more touches from scrimmage. Cribbs is our most explosive playmaker, his running style reminds me of a former Browns great Leroy kelly. kelly started out as a return specialist until Jim Brown retired. Cribbs one cut and go style  and his ability to break tackles is just what our offense needs. As a slot receiver he could be our Wes Welker but with power. With Josh in the game, there's our options are many, including the option pass. I have no clue why Romeo and Chud refused to use him more last year. Some may say his route running is not that good, then run him on quick slants, WR screens and occasionally a go route. Those routes aren't that tough, just get the ball in his hands.

The first time I saw Josh Cribbs play was his freshman year in college. Kent State was playing Ohio University in Athens. Cribbs was the KSU QB. After the game I told my son that Cribbs was a special player. Not just a QB but a football player. Why no NFL team drafted him is a mystery. Josh Cribbs plays as hard and is one of the most competitive players I've ever seen. Lets find out  just how special Josh can be.
