Miami Dolphins in 2008-2009: Season Preview and Draft Picks
Greg CamarilloĀ once said: "If i catch this pass in overtime, we will win this game."
He didn't really say that, but he sure did save the Dolphins from the history of a winless season. You have to feel like hell if you're in Baltimore that day knowing YOU had to be that team to lose to them.
But the past is the past, and this is a new Phins squad.

2025 Draft Picks Ready For Leap šø
Bill Parcells coming into power this year instead of taking the Falcons job may have saved one of the hardest cities to sell games out in.
Notice the Heat, Marlins, and Dolphins all had trouble selling tickets this year. Not because they are flat out bad, there's just a great night life in Miami.
That's just my opinion, not the truth.
For as bad as the Dolphins were, they get so much attention. After Saban left and Camoron was fired, maybe now this is what the fans have been waiting for.
Starting out with the No. 1 pick in the draft, they could of dealt it, but instead used it and ran with as many pieces to their puzzle as they could.
Miami Dolphins 2008 draft choices, by round:
1. Jake Long OT Michigan (Safe bet to me. I think he's going to have an immediate impact onĀ a team. BUT i don't think he was as talented or will be as Joe Thomas last year)
2. Phillip Merling DE Clemson (Interesting pick. He's very fast. I think he will definetely replace Matt Roth and pair up with Jason Taylor)
2. Chad Henne QB Michigan (Quarterback of the Future? They would like to hope so. He may be a good backup, but I think he will get the keys to the Jeep.)
3. Kendall Langford DL Hampton (When you see the college Hampton, it comes to mind he may not be NFL-caliber. Wrong. He's a stud in my book.Ā Might be tough to beat out Jason Ferguson or Vonnie Holiday his first year though)
4. Shawn Murphy OG Utah St.Ā (Don't know too much about him, but I do know with Rex Hadnot gone they had to fill some holes)
6. Jalen Parmele RB Toledo (I had a chance to watch him play against Purdue this past year and didn't go. He may be a decent back.)
6. Donald Thomas OG UConn (Same story With Shawn Murphy. Protecting the quarterback is a must this year.)
6. Lex Hillard FB Montana (He Joins the fullback list to get the spot. Something tells me that BoomerĀ Grigsby from KC will be a better fit.)
7. Lionel Dotson DT Arizona (You can never have too many linemen.Ā I unfortunately don't know too much about him, but he can't be too bad of a pick.)
One name who didn't get drafted that I've been reading about is Davone Bess of Hawaii. He is a wide receiver with good size (190, 5'10"), one that did a lot for Mr. Colt Brennan. He is known as having glue-like hands in camp right now.
Jason Taylor has been a media darling for the Dolphins. I'm not sure if it's good or bad. Trade talks flooded his mind majority of the offseason and he picked up a dancing show.
Actually probably will win it. Not that I watch it or anything.
Other offseason moves weren't too bad, getting Reggie Torber, Ernest Willford, Josh McCown, Anthony Fasano , and Akin Ayodele.
I think in time they will be a pretty decent team, if not better than that. I think it will have to wait a little longer.
Ted GinnĀ has to do more for what they invested in him over Brady Quinn, but it wasn't all his fault. Trent Green going down, linemen hurt, John Beck starting as a rookie, and losing Ronnie Brown really put a lot of pressure on the entire team.
Before last season a lot of people had the Dolphins almost getting a Wild Card. Crazy to think about that.
