Mario Balotelli Under Investigation by FA Over Instagram Post
Mario Balotelli has never been one to shy away from seeing or doing exactly what he wants to do.
The charismatic Italian striker caused a brief stir Monday for a controversial post on his Instagram that he deleted shortly thereafter.
The Telegraph reports that the Liverpool man could face an investigation from the Football Association for "an allegedly offensive reference to race and Judaism."

The BBC later confirmed that Balotelli would, in fact, be under investigation by the FA.
"We abhor all forms of racism, wherever it is found," FA executive and chief executive of the Jewish Leadership Council Simon Johnson told the Telegraph. "We call upon the FA to investigate this offensive social media post and to take action if appropriate if we are to succeed in kicking racism out of football."

The club confirmed that they were aware of the incident and would be investigating the matter.
"We are aware of the posting which has since been promptly deleted by the player," the spokesman told BBC. "We will be speaking to the player about the issue."
It's worth noting, however, that Balotelli almost certainly did not create the image in question. The watermark suggests that it was the handiwork of a humour website, The LAD Bible.
Still, he chose to share it with his excess of 2 million followers.
He took to Twitter afterward to clarify and expand on his background.

Monday wasn't a good social-media day for Balotelli, as he deleted a different post that appeared to mock (h/t Daily Mail) the man he's succeeded at Liverpool, Luis Suarez.
Update: Tuesday, December 2
Mario Balotelli has said sorry for the message.
"I apologize if I’ve offended anyone. The post was meant to be anti-racist with humour. I now understand that (...) pic.twitter.com/UlNeNlEz9M
