1. Florida

All 11 starters on defense return for the Gators, along with QB Tim Tebow, RB Chris Rainey, RB Jeffrey Demps and the fact they won the title last year, they deserve the #1 spot -- as much as it pains me to say it.

2. Texas

QB Colt McCoy and WR Jordan Shipley make a dynamic duo that will be hard to beat. They beat out Oklahoma simply because OU lost the title.

3. Oklahoma

QB Sam Bradford, RBs DeMarco Murray and Christ Brown stack OU as a team to beat, look for them in the title game, again.

4. USC

USC is always a good team, but QB questions and reloading on defense hinder them a bit. Should be interesting to see them this season with Cal, Oregon, and Oregon State on the rise in the Pac-10

5. Ohio State

Pryor, Pryor, Pryor. Need I say more? Oh, let's not forget, this is still Ohio State. Look for them on top of the Big Ten and possibly the national title game.

6. Alabama

Alabama's defense alone is enough to place them here as one of the best in the 2008 season. Look for them in the SEC title game.

7. Oklahoma State

QB Zac Robinson looks to be a Heisman canidate and Oklahoma State's offensive line is second only to FSU's. 10 of the top tacklers from 2008 also start on this team making it the best defense in the country.

8. LSU

LSU's RB corps is enough to scare any team, and let's face it, after last year -- they're out for blood.

9. Utah

Argueably the best team last year, they only return seven starters. Their offense takes a hit and criples them this year, sorry Utes.
