Sportscaster Butchers Odell Beckham Jr.'s Name, Calls Him 'Ladell'
Odell Beckham Jr. is a fresh face in the NFL, and his absurd, otherworldly catch against the Dallas Cowboys Sunday night had many people scrambling to immortalize his name in Italian granite.

Vine user Omar (h/t Deadspin’s Kevin Draper) posted a video of the moment. Wilcots was trying to conduct an on-air anointing of the Giants wide receiver, but he referred to him by the wrong first name.
“We now know your name, Ladell Beckham Jr.,” Wilcots said.

While it’s a perfect gaffe, the most delicious irony in Wilcots’ comment was the angry backlash of social media users referring to the sportscaster as “Wilcox.” This happened. A lot.
