OK sports fans, let's get ready for the 2009 NCAA football season. There could be no better way to defeat the recession than by going on an exciting football road trip.

This writer has had a life long dream of seeing the greats of college football perform in their full glory. Nothing beats the glamour, the bands, the sold out stadiums, the fan excitement and thrilling competition of college football.

If you're one who shares the passion, come along with me, as we sample some of the great atmospheres in all of sports. Pack light and bring a happy heart, the month of September is going to be FUN !

BYU vs Oklahoma, September 5

The season gets underway at the inaugural game at the $1.2 billion Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, TX. We'll be giving you an up close and personal view of this latest and greatest sports venue. We'll see two of the most successful college football programs go head to head, with all of the pageantry thrown in for good measure. ESPN will help by broadcasting this epic battle to a nationwide audience.

Notre Dame vs Michigan, September 12

Who amongst us hasn't craved the experience of a home game at the Big House in Ann Arbor, MI? With 106,000 screaming fans, this will be a sight to remember. Both Head Coaches, Charlie Weis of Notre Dame and Rich Rodriguez of Michigan, will be under intense pressure to show their demanding fan bases how they've improved their products after disappointing seasons in 2008. Winner take all...pity the poor loser.

Cal vs Minnesota, September 19

The sparkling new TCF Bank Stadium on campus at the University of Minnesota will be hosting this intra conference battle between the PAC 10 and Big 10. Coach Tim Brewster and his Minnesota Golden Gophers will be trying to take the next step to respectability against the highly touted Cal Bears of Jeff Tedford. We should be treated to a spectacular Fall day in the Upper Midwest. The University of Minnesota Marching Band will delight the sold out crowd with thrilling music before, during and after the game.

South Carolina vs Ol' Miss, September 24

How much longer can the Ol' Ball Coach keep his magical touch going ? The Gamecocks and 80,000 boisterous fans will be anxiously awaiting their answer in this classic SEC rivalry. A national television audience on ESPN will be glued to their sets on a Thursday night.

Arizona State vs Georgia, September 26

We polish off "Pee Wee's Big Adventure", with another intra conference rivalry with Dennis Ericksons' Sun Devils out of the PAC 10, challenging the Bulldogs of Mark Richt from the SEC. Arizona State will be trying to avenge last seasons embarrassing season, with a stunning upset in Athens, Georgia. The winner of this game could go on to challenge for post season honors.

OK college football fans, we're in for a FUN, exciting, inaugural trip around this great country of ours. Check back often to get our thoughts, impressions and reviews.
