Roy Halladay: More Than An Ace

Roy Halladay is in my opinion the best pitcher in baseball, but he could represent an opportunity for any team that trades for him to become a dynasty.

Phillies: If the Phillies get him they have three or four opportunities for a championship. The Phillies would have one of the great one-two punches in the league in Halladay and Hamels. The core of the Phillies offense is pretty young with Utley, Rollins, Howard, Werth, and Victorino. With the number of runs this team puts up, everytime Halladay is on the mound would be close to a guaranteed win.

Dodgers: If the Dodgers get him they would be in contention for a WS title for the next five years. Their core is younger than the Phillies, and with Halladay the Dodgers would have a stopper, a guy who will stop the bleeding in the postseason. Also, with Manny only having a few years left in him, it could be a good time to go all in.

Yankees: Could have the best starting rotation baseball has seen in the last five years, with CC, Burnett and Halladay. With that amount of pitching, and the fire power that offense has with Jeter, A-Rod, Cano and Texeira, they could repeat the run they had from 1996 through 2003.

Red Sox: They could have the best rotation in the last 10 years if they get Halladay. Beckett (one of the best postseason pitchers in history), Lester, Wakefield, and then you throw in Halladay. They could make a historic run. They wouldn't need that much offensive fire power to contend in any game.

These are just a few teams. Halladay could also go to the Texas Rangers, St. Louis Cardinals or Los Angeles Angels.

But regardless of where he goes, if Halladay gets traded, get ready for domination from that team for the next few years.
