Pro Wrestling Unplugged Update: A New Superstar Joins The Roster

For any of you that missed my last article on Pro Wrestling Unplugged (PWU) you can read it here.

PWU is having their five year anniversary show on September 26. It was revealed a couple of weeks ago that the Sandman's son, Tyler Fullington, was scheduled to have a match against his father's biggest adversary, Raven. You can read full details on that match here.

Announced just this past weekend to add to what is sure to be a great event, there will be a qualifying match for the new Super Heavyweight Championship. It's going to be a falls count anywhere tag team match with the winning team facing off against each other at the next PWU event to determine the first ever PWU Super Heavyweight Champion.

The teams will consist of a 500+lb behemoth called Dr. Ruthless & his tag team partner Kwame, teaming against PWU Academy graduate AHTU & the 500+lb King V a.k.a. former WWE superstar Big Daddy V. That's over half a tonne of weight in this match!

PWU had been trying to acquire King V's services since his departure from WWE in 2008, and they have just come to terms with him. This is a huge pick up for the promotion! Hopefully he can fulfill his potential and dominate his opponents in this match of epic proportions.

Another update to the card is the first ever Staple Gun Deathmatch. The match doesn't finish until one wrestler has put five staples into his opponent. That's brutal!

The competitors in this hardcore match are Crazy Eric Shea and the self proclaimed "Indestructible" Joe Ettel. Ettel gave himself the nickname after participating in last year's Barbed Wire Steel Cage match, in which he had part of his ear ripped off!

As if those matches weren't enough, it was also revealed that Teddy Fine will defend his PWU Heavyweight Championship against the up-and-comer Aramis.

On top of that there will also be the first ever PWU Hall Of Fame induction, as well as the first ever American Championship match, which is similar to a cruiserweight title.

As always, with PWU's new "Wrestle Reality" incarnation of the promotion, all of the stars of the show will be on hand for pictures and autographs.

This event is truly the start of a new era for Pro Wrestling Unplugged. If anyone reading this wants to visit their website you can do so here.
