Last year's race was a joke with the worst tire issues of any major race in Nascar history. Goodyear and the drivers assure us that this year there will not be any of those issues. Lets hope they are correct and we get to see why the drivers love Indianapolis Speedway so much. In fact many drivers consider this a very close second to winning the Daytona 500. Today Sports Handicapper Craig Trapp will give you his top two free driver picks for this years Brickyard race.

The top drivers have owned this race with Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, and Tony Stewart winning 7 of the previous Brickyard races. This track is so huge and has a ton of different lines and each corner is really different from the other. Expect to see the top teams dominate this track again this year.

Tony Stewart +210: A local product from Columbus, IN who circles this one on the calender every year. Has won this race twice (05 and 07) and most other years is really near the lead. A new team has Smoke up on the wheel all season and leading in points. He wants nothing more than another Brickyard Trophy and this year he will have his chance. Oddsmakers have made Tony a pretty strong favorite showing the strength of his new team, love him today!

Jeff Gordon +265: Hard to go against a driver with 4 wins at Indy. Consistency at this track has been his strong point finishing in the top 10 all but one year in the last eight races. This team is hitting there stride and is coming off a runner up at Chicago. Gordon loves Indy and is due for a win, don't love the price but do think he has second best chance behind Smoke!

Make sure you don't miss this race as the drivers are anxious to give a good show after last years tire debacle. Might see more early rough racing than in most years.
