Minnesota Timberwolves’ President David Kahn isn’t the only person negotiating with DKV Joventut, because apparently point guard Ricky Rubio’s agent, Dan Fegan, came along for the trip as well. Fegan and Kahn are offering Rubio’s Spanish team a lineup of local endorsements that will total four million euros — which is approximately $5.7 million US dollars.

The report came from Spanish website, Marca.com. (here is a translated page)

According to the article, Rubio’s withdrawal of his lawsuit claim is not completely withdrawn yet. The team recently dined with Rubio, but left the meeting explaining they would not negotiate until the lawsuit claim was fully withdrawn.

But the article assures the claim is in the process of being withdrawn.

Kahn and Fegan seem confident that an agreement can be made, and the end could be near for Rubio’s buyout situation. Rubio already stated his opinion about returning to DKV Joventut and the Spanish team has a very good lucrative deal being offered to them.

We expect a deal to be done by the end of the week. As soon as DKV Joventut get confirmation that the lawsuit is withdrawn, expect them to agree to Kahn’s offer and release Rubio from his contract.
