EPL: There Are None So Blind as Those Who Will Not See

Kevin Keegan has suffered a certain amount of criticism for stating The Premier League is boring because of the strengths of "The Big Four" Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool & Manchester United.

Football in England has been dominated by these teams simply because they have the financial clout to build and pay massive squads of players, thus ensuring the odd injury or two will not affect them on a weekly basis

From whence has the cash materialised? Easy, entrepreneurs and speculators based in America and Russia, whose interest in the game of Association Football must be suspect to say the least.

To question their motives will raise eyebrows, however it must be pointed out their investments to date have been restricted to clubs with a world wide appeal and thus massive sales of franchised goods.

When the "establishment" led by Richard Scudamore castigates Kevin Keegan for expressing his views, it is apparent he and his cronies are living on a different planet.

For the past few seasons those who watch football on TV, cannot have failed to see several grounds with rows upon row of empty seats and in some cases complete sections of grandstands closed to spectators.

Two reasons immediately come to mind, either the real fans are bored with the game or the admission charges are too high.

Perhaps both apply!

The likes of Richard Scudamore will continue to lambast the likes of Kevin Keegan for daring to point out the obvious and eventually the "Top Four" will be left playing themselves.

Who, among the powers that be, will be the first to open his eyes to what has been blatantly obvious for some time?
