NASCAR at Richmond 2014 Results: Winner, Standings, Highlights and Reaction
The Federated Auto Parts 400 turned into the "Brad Keselowski Show" as the No. 2 car led 383 of the 400 laps on Saturday night en route to Victory Lane.
With the win, Keselowski vaulted into the top seed for the Chase for the Sprint Cup, per SiriusXM NASCAR:
Rarely do you see this kind of domination from one driver. From nearly start to finish, Keselowski set the pace and rarely gave it up. When he did fall behind, he wasted little time in taking back the No. 1 spot.
That's a credit to both the driver and his pit crew. Keselowski could've very easily lost the lead with one bad pit stop, and that was the end of that. Instead, his crew got him out quickly and in a great position to remain atop the leaderboard.
After the race, Keselowski said that he felt like he was dreaming. That's how well the race unfolded for him, per NASCAR on ESPN:
"Brad K: "What a night. I pinched myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming. As a driver, these are nights you live for."

Yahoo Sports' Jay Busbee joked that the biggest obstacle Keselowski had to overcome might've been a fan who hopped onto the top of the fence around Turn 4 on Lap 331:
Jessica Thomas snapped a photo of said fan on the catch fence:
One rowdy fan aside, Keselowski couldn't have envisaged a better way to enter the final 10-race Chase. He's got a wealth of momentum now, and having climbed into the top spot in the Chase standings, he's starting off in the strongest position.

The outcome of the race arguably took a back seat to how the 16-driver field for the Chase for the Sprint Cup finished out. Ryan Newman and Greg Biffle were the only two drivers whose Chase place was under threat since they had failed to win a race prior to Saturday.
Newman sat in 15th with 747 points, while Biffle was 16th with 728 points. Right on their heels were Clint Bowyer with 705 points and Kyle Larson with 704.
Making up 20-plus points in one race is no easy feat, so Bowyer and Larson needed the racing gods on their side. A strong finish alone almost certainly wouldn't have gotten the job done. One or both of Biffle and Newman would need to slip up as well.
As USA Today's Jeff Gluck tweeted out, as the race wound down, it was clear that only an act of divine intervention would've gotten Biffle into the top 16:
By the time the dust had settled, nothing changed, with Newman and Biffle claiming the last two spots, per ESPN Stats & Info:
Bowyer's third-place finish wasn't good enough. Despite Biffle finishing two laps off the leader, he fulfilled the minimum obligation. Bowyer missed by seven points, and Larson was 16 points off:
"Bowyer misses the Chase by seven points; while Larson misses by 16.

Bowyer admitted after the race that he and his crew hadn't done enough to warrant a top-16 place:
"Clint: "Truth be told, we're not there right now. A lot of work to do. We need to work on building momentum."

The Chase will begin next Sunday at the Chicagoland Speedway for the MyAFibStory.com 400.
With his performance on Saturday night, Keselowski positioned himself as the driver to beat. With Jeff Gordon, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Jimmie Johnson breathing down his neck, though, he'll have a tough battle ahead to hold onto the top spot.
