With striker Emmanuel Adebayor departing to Manchester City for around £20 million, Arsenal are now in need of a new striker. With the departure of Adebayor, Arsenal are now without a serious aerial threat, speed, and balance. Who better than to fill the gaping hole left by Adebayor then Klaas-Jan Huntelaar or Marouane Chamakh?
Who would you prefer Arsenal sign?
Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, Real Madrid
The 25-year-old Dutch and Madrid striker is blessed with great technique, speed, and tremendous heading ability, and he can score with both feet. Huntelaar is experienced and would be a perfect partner to dominant Arsenal striker Robin van Persie.
Huntelaar would cost around £17 million for the Gunners, which is nearly all of the Adebayor money. Signing the Dutchman would be expensive and possibly rule out the signing of a defensive midfielder, which Arsenal crave and need more. However, Huntelaar is a tremendous striker who can score goals.
Marouane Chamakh, Bordeaux
Known for his impressive work rate, strong heading ability, and link up play, Moroccan Marouane Chamakh would be a perfect replacement for Adebayor. The Bordeaux man is a serious aerial threat due to his height and jumping ability. The 25-year-old is also quick and a tireless worker.
Chamakh would cost around £10 million for the Gunners, almost half less than what Huntelaar would.
Who would you prefer Arsenal sign: Dutchman Klaas-Jan Huntelaar or Moroccan Marouane Chamakh?
