Fat Frank? Chelsea's Lampard Shapes Up

Salaar ShamsiMay 6, 2008

Apparently Frank Lampard has been taking the "Fat Frank" shouts a bit too seriously. Lamps who recently mourned the death of his mother, Pat Lampard, has reduced himself to a fairly strange diet.

Waren Tebulski, manager of Frankie's cafe in London, of which Frank Lampard is a frequent visitor revealed Lampard has stopped eating Frankie's famous "Fish n Chips" which is probably Lampard's favourite dish on the menu.

"He came in with a couple of others and had only orange juice, it was quite surprising because he (Frank Lampard) walking in usually means that we should have fish and chips ready for him," said Tebulski.

It started with the England fans, who booed him and shouted "Fat Frank" at him and was later picked up by certain groups amongst the Chelsea fans.

Apparently Lampard was so worried that he consulted Albert Hunsalo, a relative of his wife, Elen Rives. Hunsalo a specialist in weight loss had set up a diet plan for Lampard which the midfielder consciously followed.

Lampard has lost around twelve pounds and is looking visibly fitter as compared to before.

Way to go Frank Lampard.
