These old sports fan's are getting on my nerves. I know there is a huge generation gap and all, but they either need to get on board or just stay out of it until their numbers are punched.

I will admit, I am not the biggest sports fan when it comes to more " traditional" sports. However, I will say that I respect the athletes that compete in sports such as boxing, football, baseball, and tennis.

But come on. alot of these guys only play a few months a year and get paid WAY to much.

some of them take steroids, Yet MMA fighters are the bad guys...?

the NFL wants to bring back Mikel Vick?

Boxing followed the antics of Mike tyson for years and made millions off of it?

yeah mma are the bad guys. Just look at Andrson Silva, Layoto Machida and GSP. when it comes to honor and nobility there is no contest.

Earlier, I was watching ESPN around the horn and all I kept thinking about was how a couple of thees guys were just OK.

They were giving respect to UFC, saying it was a true accomplishment for them to draw in over 1.5 million ppv buys and how Lesnar is a good thing for the sport.

But then there were those typical old school sports fans, toting on about how it's fake and it's not mainstream.

Vegas was never so jammed packed. They can say what they want but UFC is here to stay.

Two or three years ago, would you have seen UFC on ESPN as much as they are? Probably not, which shows the constant evolution of the sport.

I mean give me a break, 1.5 million buys? That's insane!

One man made the old argument, "When i want to watch real fighting, I'll watch boxing."

If you like boxing, that's great. But realize that they are two different animals.

UFC draws in more fans from ages 18-35 when compared to boxing. People still watch boxing, but most of them are in a different age gap.

However, I truly believe that boxing is a great sport, so don't take any offense to this article.

The attitude I get from some of these dinosaurs just irks me.

I assume these are the same guys who still claim cell phones and the Internet are

"just fads."

OK well this "fad" beats Baseball and basket ball on a regular bases when they go head to head on tv.

In another 10 or 15 years, all us fine writers here at Bleacher Report and other places will be up there telling it like it is and talking about UFC 130.

They can say we are still a "cult" or "not mainstream." They can say we are "tattoo wearing, Mohawk having, un-educated fans."

At the end of the day, all we have to do is look at the 1.5 million buys. The constant coverage and all the merchandise.

We all know the sport has arrived. So for now let's pretend the old fogies don't exists. its only a matter of time before they go to Florida and eat there early bird specials then...well you know.

By then we can be on all the sports shows with are tattoos and mohawks up in the air telling it like it is.

So lets keep watching as UFC/MMA takes over and becomes bigger and better by the day.
