Neymar's broken back was one of the 2014 World Cup's most dramatic and remarkable stories—and it now appears that the shirt worn by the Colombian who inflicted that injury, Camilo Zuniga, is available via auction.
At the time of writing, the highest offer for the jersey was $1,400 on the Bazar Sports website.
Brazil won the game 2-1 but then imploded at the semi-final stage.
The seller writes:
He was making a good game, but was notable for a move that will sadly mark his career: after 41 minutes of the second half in a fight for the ball, Zuniga enters with great force and hits Neymar Jr. in the back with his knee. That caused a fracture in the Brazilian player's spine.
Even crucified by the media, the player has shown, along his career, that he is not an unfair athlete and that was just an isolated incident—with serious consequences.
[...] To all Colombia's and Zuniga's fans: Your Passion Lives On!
For $10,000, the auction ends and the shirt is yours.
