The Three Reasons The Yankees Are Better Than The Red Sox
I have no question that this will be one of my more popular, if not my most popular, and one of my most commented articles. I know 35% of you will disagree, 5% could care less, and the other 60% will all give me POTD votes.
So, Red Sox fans, here's your persuading:
Number 1: Career Winning Percentage
The New York Yankees win the most games of any team. They have a .567 career winning percentage, on of just a few above .500.
The next closest is the Cardinals.
Basically, if you go to a Yankees game today, you are more than likely to see them win.
So, what’s the Red Sox winning percentage?
A 51 point difference.
See this? The Yankees win much, much more than the Red Sox. Period. End of story, no argument.
Number 2: The World Series Wins.
All you need is two numbers.
Undoubtedly, the Yankees are more clutch than the Red Sox, and again, they win more.
Number 3: The Names
The Yankees have the best players ever. Ruth, Gehrig, DiMaggio, and Mantle played on the Yankees, some of the names baseball will never forget.
The Red Sox?
Ted Williams and Carlton Fisk. I'm unimpressed.
If you went up to a random person anywhere (Lets say North Dakota in this case) and asked them to name three great baseball players, they'd probably say:
Barry Bonds, Babe Ruth, and Joe DiMaggio (or Willie Mays.)
No Red Sox there.
When you consider the best ever, you consider Yankees, and Yankees only. No Red Sox.
Unless you want to consider Manny Ramirez great.
And if you think he’s the best, click here to view the top five reasons that Manny’s the farthest you can come from the best.
As you can see, the Yankees superiority to the Red Sox stretches as far as Yankee Stadium is from my house. (2392 miles on a straight line!) and is as deep as the Marianas Trench in the Pacific Ocean.
No one is better than the Yankees!
