WWE Disbands One Of The Few Tag Teams Left: The Colons

Last Monday Night's Raw showed us that Carlito just could not stand losing anymore and chose to blame Primo for his losses. Now, I actually wanted this split to happen, I just think the timing of it is not too great for the tag team division.

As I, along with many others, have said already, WWE's tag team division has been suffering and needs to be built up more. Disbanding teams at this point is the exact opposite of what they should be doing.

Let's look at the tag teams that WWE has currently.

Cryme Tyme: These two have finally started wrestling again and seem to have started a feud The Hart Dynasty.

Hart Dynasty: As I just mentioned, these two are now feuding with Cryme Tyme. These guys were looking real good together on ECW and I hope they can continue to perform well on Smackdown and eventually hold the titles.

Priceless: While these two could easily rise to greatness, they have been struggling both in the ring as well as out of the ring. In singles matches, both lost on Raw last night and Ted has been showing some attitude towards Orton.

Legacy is set up for a split when Ted turns face which is a lose-lose situation right now. Either Ted is the only one to leave, breaking up Priceless, or Cody leaves as well, destroying Legacy.

Rated Y2J: As most of you have heard by now, this team has to disband now since Edge apparently tore his Achilles Tendon. This team would have done the tag division a world of good and, although WWE couldn't have foreseen this, it makes the timing of the Colons split that much worse.

Regal and Kozlov?: Although this isn't an official tag team yet, I personally think it needs to be seeing as how without them, WWE has only three tag teams. I don't know how it will turn out though since Kozlov is scheduled for a number one contender's match for the ECW title on the next episode of ECW.

Splitting the Colons cost WWE one of their much needed tag teams, but what's done is done. Where will the Colons go from here? I have a few theories...

Theory one: The Colons make up

I really don't think this is going to happen. However, maybe WWE will realize that with Edge out of action, they need more tag teams and they will make Carlito realize he was out of his head or whatever and apologize. I doubt it though, and we'll probably see another brother vs. brother feud.

Theory two: A brother vs. brother feud

This seems most likely, even though we don't really need it. We recently saw the Hardys feud with each other and we all know how that turned out. It was great for Jeff, but not so much for Matt.

If these two do end up feuding, I'm pretty sure the same thing will happen. The only question is who will suffer the fate of Matt?

Either one could possibly be buried. Carlito has been great before, so he could easily once again rise to greatness, or be used to push Primo and be buried in the process.

Theory three: Separate paths

This is the theory that I would like to see happen. Carlito, as a heel, could easily rise to the top and give Orton a rest. By the time he gets to the top, we will have seen Orton feud with every top face. Carlito could come in and provide more feuds.

Primo, in my opinion, is the less talented of the two brothers. Because of this, and the fact that he is a face, he could do well in a mid-card title hunt. Raw doesn't need another top face in the main title hunt, so mid-card seems like a better place for him.

As always, thanks for reading and feedback is greatly appreciated.
