The senior year for Greivis Vasquez, Landon Milbourne, and Eric Hayes will have teams on and outside the ACC once again Fearing the Turtle.

Terp fans are sure happy about the fact that Vaquez is returning, mainly because the combination of him, Milbourne and Hayes should have Maryland putting up some big numbers.  With incoming talent that the freshman players bring and their returning players, Maryland could be a team that no one wants to play.

If Vasquez plays the way he has the potential to, Hayes is more consistent with his open jumpers from three, and if Milbourne athletic talent is allowed to shine, teams will not be able to double team.

The Terps have the best sixth man in all of college basketball—their fans.  They are loud and back their team from start to finish.  If the crowd starts to get to comfortable, they only need to see one of Milbourne's emphatic dunks to get them back on track.  Vasquez, of course, will never let the fans down.

I feel the Terps will have all the confidence in the world this season and the fans will have something to be excited about.  This could be their best team since 2002.

The three players finished the season one, two, and three in scoring, so the Terps have plenty of scoring returning.  However, they were last in rebounding in league play last season.  Although they finished ninth in the ACC in offensive boards, the team was just 5.5 boards from being tied for first place.

Maryland did a lot of good things last season, including handing our 14.6 assists per game, good enough for sixth place in the conference.  With seven steals per game, the Terps were in seventh place.

Their turnover margin was 3.29 for third place and their 1.2 assist-to-turnover ratio was second in league play.  They finished fifth in scoring defense at 69.1 and led the ACC in free throw percentage at .758 per game.

The players had Gary Williams back last year.  This year, I think Gary Williams will have his players back by showing his appreciation and letting their talents take them to the big dance.
