Following the 2003 fiasco when LSU and USC shared the National Title, the BCS conducted a major overhaul of its ranking formula. Ultimately their new formula was of sleak design and removed much of the double counting of losses and strength of schedule.

However, the BCS has never and will never release a revised pre-bowl standing. For reference here is the original 2003 standing. Here is the final standings using the new BCS formula.

The big change is USC replacing Oklahoma against LSU to play for the National Championship. This is the only multiple spot change inside the top 22.
