Well, if you have been listening to recent sports news, you have probably heard that Colts wide receiver Marvin Harrison is under investigation concerning a shooting at his bar in Philadelphia.
Federal officials insist that Harrison is not in any way a suspect or involved in this incident. They just say that since it happened near his bar, that they are investigating anyone with connections to the person of place of the shooting.
When interviewed during rookie mini-camp, coach Tony Dungy reported that he knew little of the situation and made no comment.
"My phone has been ringing, too, but I don't have any details," Dungy said. "I really don't have any more information than you do."
According to the police report, it said the victim came into the bar, Playmakers, about 5 p.m. and got in an argument with Harrison, who was at the bar. The victim left the bar, heading to his car, with Harrison following. Gunfire broke out and the victim was hit in the hand by a bullet.
The police identified the gun used as a custom made Belgian weapon, and Harrison owns such a gun. He reported that the weapon never left his home, but when police went to the car wash Harrison also owns, they found the gun in a bucket. The test showed that the gun had fired seven bullets that matched those at the crime scene. The gun was registered.
So is the usually quiet Marvin Harrison turning a new leaf? The only time Harrison has been involved in a situation like this was after the 2005 Pro Bowl when he was accused of attacking three boys who came up to him for an autograph. Charges on that case were dismissed.
Maybe being out of football for seven months takes a toll on the veteran. He's still considered one of the best wide receivers to ever play the game, and is the best out of his draft class of 1996. For the sake of the Colts, I hope Harrison is no way involved in this, and it just happened to be near his bar.

It seems like all the evidence is stacking up against him but i sure hope it wasn't him. I always really respected how this guy plays and acts on the field. I don't want to see another guy we all thought was a hero do something so stupid.
