It hasn't been the best year for the Cleveland Indians. They are sitting 12.5 games out of the Central and are 17 games below .500. The pitching staff has been brutally awful, especially the bullpen.

Injuries to Grady Sizemore have taken their toll. Victor Martinez can only do so much. But in all the disappointments of Cleveland baseball this year, there is a shining star in Shin-Soo Choo.

Let's break down his statistics:

Batting average: Choo is batting .301. That's .039 points higher than Jason Bay. He has the eighth best batting average for American League outfielders.

On-base percentage: Choo has an insane .406 on-base percentage. That's the second best for American League outfielders. He gets on base more than leadoff hitter Ichiro Suzuki.

Runs batted in: Choo has 53 RBI. That's the third best for American League outfielders, as only Torii Hunter and Jason Bay have more.

Other: Choo has also been great in the other aspects of the game. He has 13 stolen bases without having been caught. Choo also has a great fielder as his rocket arm has eight outfield assists.

What's also impressive about Choo? He's been doing this against good teams as the Tribe has had the fifth hardest schedule in all of baseball. Also, he's only 26 years old, meaning he still has lots of baseball to play.

His game tonight elucidated what a great player he is capable of being. He went 4-for-5 with two home runs and seven RBI. Choo has been an under-the-radar player all year. If you're not a fan of a team in the AL Central, you likely don't know of him.

This Choo Choo train deserves to stop in St. Louis for the All-Star game. He is putting up ridiculous numbers and continues to provide a consistent bat for a bad team.
