Jack Cust went 4 for 4 with 3 Runs and a HR. Emil Brown and Kosuke Fukudome also had 4 hits. Ryan Braun (3 RBI), Alex Rios, Ichiro Suzuki, Magglio Ordonez had three hits. Miguel Cabrera, Erick Ayabar, and Bobby Abreu each drove in three Runs.

A.J. Burnett threw 7-2/3 three-hit shutout innings with 5 Ks for his third Win. Sidney Ponson threw 8 Innings allowing 1 Run with 5 Ks to improve to 1-0 with a 1.35 ERA. He outdueled Zack Greinke, who went 7 Innings allowing 2 Runs on 4 Hits with 9 Ks for his first loss of the year. Matt Garza allowed 2 Runs on 3 Hits in 6 Innings to earn his first Win of the year. Carlos Zambrano pitched 6-1/3 Innings allowing 1 Run, but got a no-decision. Paul Byrd (7-2/3 shutout Innings, 4 Hits, 4 Ks) and Miguel Batista (7 Innings, 1 Run on 4 Hits with 6 Ks) took no-decisions. Randy Wolf struck out 9 in 6 Innings as he allowed 2 Runs on 6 Hits. Adam Eaton allowed 2 Runs in 6 Innings as well. They both got no-decisions.
