The Lakers Acquire Ron Artest, But Lost Trevor Ariza. I'm Writing this article not to announce, but to explain about what just happened and the possible effects.

Trevor Ariza will be going to the Houston Rockets for 5 years $33-Million. The Lakers of course Get Ron Artest for reportedly 3 years $18-Million Dollars. Right now Ron Artest is a much better Player than Ariza but the Lakers made a mistake to let him go for Ron. Ariza has proven that he's a hero. Let me explain, In NBA History it is rare to have these type of players in the league and especially in a team. These "Hero's" are players who make important and momentum changing defensive plays and shooting clutch shots. Not just in the regular season but most importantly in the Playoffs. Robert Horry was that type of player. Robert Horry is remembered as big shot Rob, but the guy was a good defensive player. He made clutch defensive plays, not just with his shooting. Another player was James Posey, who's shown that. You didn't see it this year because the Hornets stunk and how was he gonna make a big shot when you're down 58. But those two have proven that they're heros, not just because they played well in the playoffs but because they got RINGS! Horry had seven, while Posey had two. Ariza got his ring and earned it because he saved the Lakers in clutch situations. Game 4 is remebered by Fisher's two big threes, But Ariza was making clutch threes to get them back in the game. The Lakers lost their Hero and this could hurt them in the long run especially since Ariza is 24. Artest is a better player but I don't know if letting go of Ariza for Artest was a good thing. Artest is not a proven hero because he has no rings in his fingers, so how can you say that you've been clutch if you don't have that. I understand  that great players with no rings can be clutch like say Reggie Miller. But how many rings does Reggie have? Exactly, none. Although Reggie is in the list of greatest players to never win a championship. How can you call yourself a hero if you haven't won anything. When I heard the news that Ron-Ron was going to the Lakers. I was overjoyed, but disapointed that Trevor is leaving to a now-weak Rockets team. Yes I'm comparing Ariza to Robert Horry because it's true, Trevor Ariza shot big shots multiple times this season for the Lakers for games they should've lost but won because of Trevor and his effort. Ron Welcome to L.A. You have a chance to get a ring but you need to prove if you can replace Trevor, because that will be a task that will be very difficult.
