Not Quite Boise State Breaking News: But Close Enough to Report #3

Oh yes, what would a Bronco season be like without the quality assisting of KTVB?

Indeed, enduring Mark Johnson and Tom Scott once again pails in contrast to not seeing all of the Boise State Bronco football games when one cannot be in attendance.

Johnson will once again do the play-by-play and Scott the color commentary just as they did so last season.

It just does not seem logical that two people who appear to be in need of interpreters themselves are given authority to call games as real and exciting as Bronco football.

The good news is this drama will only last one more season with Learfield Sports taking the reigns on July 1, 2010.

Bronco fans believe that is an upgrade. Go Broncos.

Arena2

Just in case there are any of you who know of or actually care about Arena Football2, especially the Boise Burn, former Broncos starting quarterback Taylor Tharp is lighting up the scoreboard, and the Burn have locked a playoff berth with no worse than a fourth seed.

The Burn have won six straight games—the last one a 55-19 victory over the Central Valley Coyotes. Obviously, the Coyotes were not a game of great interest, but the last team to win over the Burn was the undefeated Spokane Shock, and they did so narrowly, 64-62.

The Boise Burn are heating up (better said they are downright hot) going into the playoffs with a 10-2 record. At present, they hold the fourth best record and worthy of home field advantage.

Playoffs begin July 31 or Aug. 1 and the Burn may open up at Qwest Arena by winning their next two games.

The only question for the Burn is, will they be the fourth or third seed? Golly—looks like you all have to wait for that one.
