18 Men who SHOULD Start the MLB All Star Game

I personally love the All-Star game, but I believe that Fan voting should be eliminated, because the players that deserve to start frequently don't even make the team. So today, I have gone through all the stats and present to you the starters that should be in St. Louis.
After you all see my picks I would love some debate because some positions are very hard, while some a joke and very easy.
One question I ask wouldn't it be better to get rid of the voting because anyone that cares about the game I think will care more if the best players each year make it, not the biggest names the same every year.
AL Catcher—Joe Mauer
.394 14 HRs and 44 RBI
This one the people have right. He gets this because of his name recognition but he is the only player deserving. He has been on fire since coming back from the early injury.
AL First Baseman—Miguel Cabrera
.331 16 HRs and 47 RBI
He will make the team, but because of the Red Sox and Yankees votes he will not be the starter. He hasn't been great this year but in my opinion still has been better than Texiera, Youkilis or Morneau.
AL Second Baseman—Aaron Hill
.305 19 HRs and 56 RBI
It has been a great year for the Blue Jay sceond basemen and he will be on the team, but deserves to start over Kinsler and a slow Pedroia.
AL Shortstop—Jason Bartlett
.364 7 HRs and 36 RBI
Derek Jeter has had an okay year, better than expected, but Bartlett will win the AL batting title this year. He is locked in like never before and will finish ahead of Ichiro for that crown.
AL Third Baseman—Evan Longoria
.306 16 HRs and 63 RBI
Nowhere else to go here, after an inhuman April his numbers are the best at the hot corner. Scott Rolen has been very good, but even with his injury time out Longoria is the best at third.
AL Outfielder One—Ichiro
.372 6 HRs and 37 runs scored
The voters and the Japanese fans get this right he is leading the league in hitting and is completely locked in.
AL Outfielder Two—Adam Jones
.309 12 HRs and 44 RBI
I love Carl Crawford but as one scout saild last week "Adam Jones is the best all around outfielder already in the AL". He has been a little better than Crawford who has stockpiled singles, but also stocked up those steals.
AL Outfielder Three—Jason Bay
.277 19 HRs and 69 RBI
The AL MVP today is in the starting lineup and should stay there. He has been great in Boston since last July. Remember when people said Xavier Nady was the better player when he went to the Yankees?
AL Starting Pitcher—Zach Greinke
Unreal year for the Royal Righty.
10-3 1.95 ERA Five complete games 115.1 Innings 100 hits 114 ks
NL Catcher—Brian McCann
.316 8 HRs and 31 RBI
Talk about a weak position this year. I gave it to McCann over Molina because he has more RBI in 50 fewer at-bats. If only the Mets catcher production was from one guy he would be here.
NL First Baseman— Albert Pujols
.328 28 HRs and 74 RBI
I'm not a fan, but there is no debate. Adrian Gonzalez, Prince Fielder and Ryan Howard have all been good too though.
NL Second Baseman—Orlando Hudson
.303 5 HRs and 41 RBI
Tough call here. Hudson vs. Utley and even alittle Freddy Sanchez. I go with Hudson because he played great with Manny out and has been the leader on a young team, while Utley has been the third most clutch player in his clubhouse.
NL Shortstop—Miguel Tejada
.330 6 HRs and 42 RBI
I love Hanley Ramirez but he backs up for the reborn Tejada on my team. Think about this for Hanley three grand slams, the rest of the season only 44 RBI.
NL Third Basemen—Pablo Sandoval
.340 11 HRs and 38 RBI
Kills me to admit Sandoval is playing better than my boy Mr. No Homer David Wright. Dave backs up for the young Giant killer in St. Loo. He only has seven fewer hits than Dave does.
NL Outfielder One—Brad Hawpe
.329 12 HRs and 55 RBI
Amazin is an understatement for the season Hawpe is having. There is no way three outfielders should start over the blooming slugger from the mountains who is finally reaching his potential. I love watching Carlos Beltran but his injuries have slowed him to the point where Hawpe deserves it more.
NL Outfielder Tow—Raul Ibanez
.312 22 HRs and 59 RBI
Is he juicing? It wouldn't shock me but he has been great this year. A lot of cheap homers at home and at Yankee Stadium but he deserves it over Carlos as well.
NL Outfielder Three—Ryan Braun
.324 16 HRs and 53 RBI
Best young hitter in the game. Voters get this right and he should be in this game for the next decade, every year. He's top ten in the NL in hitting with that furious swing that is pretty good.
NL Starting Pitcher—Matt Cain
9-2 2.57 ERA Three complete games 101.2 Innings 84 hits 85 k's
Enough said isn't it?
