Will Hedo Turkoglu Be Back In a Magic Uniform?

At 12 o'clock tonight, most NBA teams will be extremely busy offering numerous contracts to free agents. Of the bunch, Hedo Turkoglu seems to be the most popular, especially after ending the year on a tremendous note with the Orlando Magic.

Prior to the blockbuster Vince Carter deal, the Orlando Magic offered Turkoglu a four year $35 million contract. Turk declined the offer, deciding to opt out and test free agency.

With the economy at a low, not many organizations have the money to throw towards Turk, who is now asking for roughly $10 million per year.

At the end of the day, will Turkoglu get bit in his own ass for not accepting the Magic's more than generous offer and be forced to settle for a contract of lesser value?

From the looks of things, it seems that more likely than not Turkoglu will be in for a surprise. It is highly unlikely that any team in the league will give the former Most Improved Player of the Year a $10 million contract at the age of 30.

The Defensive Player of the Year, Dwight Howard, has stated that he wants Hedo back on the Magic's roster before the 09'-10' season begins.

Could it be possible to see Turkoglu back in a Magic uniform before the start of next year?

If so, Hedo would have to accept a second attempt Orlando contract proposal and I can tell you right now, this time, it will not be anywhere near the offer they first proposed to No. 15.

Also, who would change their jersey number, Turk or VC?

Stay tuned...
