On Aug. 29, HBO will debut the next installment of their award reality franchise series: 24/7, featuring the two top pound-for-pound boxing superstars: Floyd Mayweather Jr and Juan Manuel Marquez.

The first episode will premiere Saturday Aug. 29 on HBO  (10:15-10:45 PM ET/PT)

Episodes two and three of MAYWEATHER/MARQUEZ 24/7 debut on subsequent Saturdays—SEPT. 5 (10:00-10:30 PM) and 12 (10:00-10:30 PM)—while the finale debuts FRIDAY, SEPT. 18 (9:30-10:00 PM), just one night before the fight.  All four episodes will have multiple replay dates on HBO, and the series will also be available on HBO On Demand.

Floyd Mayweather Jr has been stating that the was man who started the 24/7 series and who made it successful due to his flamboyant personality and lifestyle. This will be Mayweather's third 24/7 series and Juan's first appearance.

Mayweather, the former No. 1 pound-for-pound fighter is undefeated (39-0, 25 KOs) and back after a brief self-imposed retirement.  A training camp injury forced the fight date to be reset to Sept. 19.

Marquez (50-4-1, 37 KOs) from Mexico City is quite arguably the best technical fighter in the sport who is willing to fight all of the best out there despite weight class.  Marquez is moving up from the lightweight ranks to challenge boxing’s most provocative American star.

This 24/7 series will cover storylines such as the loyal relationship between Mayweather and his uncle/trainer, Roger Mayweather, and Marquez’s air tight relationship with his longtime trainer Ignacio Beristain.

On Saturday, Sept. 19 at 9:00 PM (ET)/6:00 PM (PT), HBO Pay-Per-View presents “Mayweather vs. Marquez,” live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

I know many fight fans including myself will tune in whether they love or hate Mayweather to see what he does and what will come out of this talented fighter's big mouth during this 24/7 series.

I am pleased to see that Marquez will finally get the exposure and recognition that he is so long over due for his great boxing skills with this 24/7 program.
