Edge and Jericho as Tag Team Champions: Smackdown Just Got Even Better

It's what we have all been waiting for. The biggest heels in the WWE have officially became a tag team. Not only that, but they won the Unified Tag Team Championship at The Bash and are know the biggest reason to watch Friday Night Smackdown.

These two uber-heels have formed a team that could rule Smackdown. Everything Jericho has touched in the past 14 months has turned to gold.

Now that he is teamed with one of the most hated guys in the WWE, "The Real A Show" has just become a whole lot more interesting.

The Following are reasons to watch Smackdown:

  • The bad ass known as John Morrison
  • Jim Ross
  • It has actual wrestling matches
  • No Batista, John Cena, Hornswoggle, or Triple H
  • The [freakin] Undertaker
  • When R-Truth says "Whats up?"
  • Watching Khali get hit with a chair
  • and now Edge and Jericho are a tag team

WWE has really been doing a good job over on Friday Night. It seems like Raw is for the kids and the "Casual fans" and Smackdown is for the "Hardcore Wrestling fans".

I was hoping the WWE would unite these two to form a team from the second they hinted at it at the Draft last April.

I can't wait to see how the two deal with their egos. Both of them want the World Heavyweight Championship. It will be interesting to see how the two work together to accomplish anything.

Edge is a fantastic tag team wrestler and now that Jericho is joining him I see them dominating Smackdown DX-style (circa 1998).

I would like to get some more people in on this tag team. How about if the WWE brings in Christian and Tyson Tomko to join the team. It could be the WWE's version of Team Canada. Is Tomko from Canada? Never mind...

I'm putting the cart before the horse here, but now that these two have the tag team championships, I see Smackdown becoming even better. WWE's so called "B" show has been the greatest wrestling show of 2009 and this proves it.

I can't wait to see how the WWE follows up with this interesting development on Friday's show. Very good move here by Vince McMahon.
