http://www.post-gazette.com/images4/20060906pd_pennstate0902n_450.jpgAfter a 31-10 beating that the Nittany Lions of Penn State gave Notre Dame last Saturday, PSU will take the field once again in front of their home fans at Beaver Stadium this Saturday at noon; to take on a weak Buffalo Bisons team.

  • B/R Ticket Guide

The Nittany Lions defense sacked Freshmen QB Jimmy Clausen 6 times last Saturday, and they didn't even give up ND's only touchdown; the offense did by a way of a pick six. Look for Penn State's 'D' to shut down the weak Buffalo offense all game long, which should lead to a goose egg on the scoreboard.

While the defense is doing their job, the offense led by Senior QB Anthony Morelli will be looking to run and throw all over the Bison's defense. Both attacks should be successful against a weak Buffalo defense.

Everything should be clicking on all cylinders for the #12 penn State Nittany Lions this Saturday because they are going up against one of the worst teams in all of College Football. But Buffalo did get a win last Saturday, by beating an even weaker team, the Temple Owls by a few scores. Don't be surprised to see the Bisons have some good drives, but those drives will probably end with a turnover created by the Lions smothering defense.

My prediction:

Penn State: 40

Buffalo: 3

I see Buffalo getting only one field goal, but even those 3 points will be very hard to get.

  1. 3-0 baby-- Looks good going into Michigan next weekend, esp. if Michigan's baby QB starts.
