Updates from Thursday, May 15

It seems as though the #VEMIBRA campaign may have been successful, after all.

Ibrahimovic may have had a change of heart, based on recent comments and tweets that indicate he could head to Brazil.

He told SI.com:

Let's see, it will be a surprise, because they are confincing me, but still I am thinking. It was a nice campaign they did. It was fantastic with the people involved: Big athletes from Anderson Silva to Ronaldo to Dani ALves and others. So I was very happy when I saw it, and it motivated me a lot.

You never know. It's like football. Maybe I do the unpredictable and I show up.

Only two days ago, he tweeted a picture of himself that may foreshadow his presence at the World Cup.

The only downside of Sweden's epic clash with Portugal in the World Cup qualifying play-off game was that either Cristiano Ronaldo or Zlatan Ibrahimovic wouldn't be competing in Brazil. Since Ronaldo's Portugal earned the win, football fans everywhere faced the unwelcome prospect of an Ibra-less World Cup.

Thankfully, some of Brazil's biggest sporting stars are campaigning to change that. Rounding up support with the #VEMIBRA hashtag and a handy celebrity-filled viral video, the campaign hopes to bring Ibrahimovic to Brazil to attend at least one match.

So check out the video above, and watch for cameos from the likes of Dani Alves and Ronaldo Fenomeno. Only time will tell if Ibra can be dissuaded from his stated viewpoint: "A World Cup without me is nothing to watch."
