Congratulations to 2009 US Open Champion, Lucas Glover.

It was a final round with much drama, and disappointments for many. Only one guy can win, and Glover was most certainly that guy. He helped clinche the win with a great shot on the 16th hole, and survived his way home for the money.

Tiger could not make a putt, but perhaps hit the ball better than anyone last week.

Phil, with all on his mind was tied for the lead by the 14th hole, but then set the record for futility, and grabbed a second for the fifth time in the Open.

The players he passed tied for four second place finishes would boggle your mind, but the championship eluded him once more.

The best story of the day was the reemergence of David Duvall, who looked like he could actually win it for a while.

David is indeed, back.

After the mental anguish, and the difficulty of Bethpage Black many big names are taking a break this week.

The tour now goes to the TPC at River Highlands, in Cromwell, Ct, for the Travelers Championship.

After the Open finished, I again gained some ground in Yahoo Fantasy Golf. I have cracked the 90th percentile for the first time and stand in the  position of 17,030 with 3328 points.

This week my team includes Kenny Perry, Hunter Mahan, Lucas Glover, who i picked because this should be easy compared to last week, and Scott Verplank.

On the bench, just in case, will be Anthony Kim, Woody Austin, Pat Perez, and Y.E. Yang.

To all a great week and I'll leave you with these words:

I told my ex the other day, I'm so miserable without you here, It's like you're here anyway.
