The strange journey of Tim Sherwood's tenure at the helm of Tottenham may have concluded with his strangest antics yet.

Apparently a Spurs supporter had been heckling the gaffer at White Hart Lane for weeks, so Sherwood finally responded in a way no one expected: He invited the heckler down to the bench and even gave him his gilet!

Sherwood's response in the aftermath was just as good as good.

Sherwood on inviting fan into dugout "He shouts every week 'Get him off Tim'. Hes the proper manager, so it was his chance to have a go" 1/2

2/2 Sherwood "He's nicked my gilet too! Football is all about the fans. It's only friendly banter and we should have more in the game."

Sherwood when asked if the fan he invited into the dugout will be the next @SpursOfficial boss: "Nah, he's English." pic.twitter.com/x0wPTFpKnk
