Replace Kobe Bryant with LeBron James.

2009 (James with LA Lakers wins his fourth championship, first without Shaquille O'Neil.)

Some news headlines:

James proves he is the best player in the league.

The King carries LA to championship.

Kobe Bryant, not only a rapist but a spoilsport, walks off arena after loss.

James wins NBA championship with pinky injury, how good is he?

(According to me, that pinky injury is highly underrated because its Kobe Bryant's, imagine the same scenario with James, Wade or even Dwight Howard who are not 'expected' to display greatness on a day to day basis and criticised if they make 20 and five instead of 40 and 10, Come on, its a broken finger. Basketball players here can probably imagine how restricting, if not painful, it can be)

James wins with inferior supporting cast, suddenly Pau Gasol is just a borderline All-Star who never won a playoff game before LA and Lamar Odom is inconsistent. Suddenly Kobe Bryant's "help" Mo Williams is an All Star PG, Zydrunas Ilgauskas is an A Grade center, Wallace is the WALL again and Anderson Varejao is the best back up center in the league, but of course they couldn't win with a selfish, intimidating ball hog like the self acclaimed (how ridiculous right?) Black Mamba.

Why is Kobe Bryant expected to do more for the same thing? This article, by no means, is written to discredit the great athlete LeBron James is. He is used to display the sheer injustice by the media and the thousands of fans who assume what's written is true)

I hereby, urge all the fans who love the great game and are lucky enough to witness such superb athletes in their prime. Please let go of the past hangups and present marketing. WATCH THE GAMES, maybe its not as convenient as reading articles on the computer screen along with carefully selected and often biased you tube clips, but that's what it is all about.)

DECIDE for YOURSELF, how would it be if their would be no media? Everyone is entitled to their opinion, please use that right and don't form your opinions in sync with the majority, there is no right or wrong here. Its a sport. Probably the most demanding one.
