Cleveland Cavaliers-Washington Wizards: Time to Show Up or Shut Up in Washington
LeBron James overrated?
That's laughable. That's insane.
That's like saying Michael Jordan couldn't hit the big shot, or Tiger Woods is not the best golfer in the world.

New 2026 NBA Mock Draft 🔮

1 Immediate Thing Every Team Would Do In FA 🏀

Buzz: Giannis Trade Could Be 3-Teamer 😮
LeBron James has had quite the career so far, even if it has been short. He has been in the spotlight ever since his photo graced the cover of Sports Illustrated when he was a junior in high school. During his senior year, his high school, Akron St. Vincent St. Mary, had games nationally televised.
LeBron was drafted No. 1 in 2003 by the Cleveland Cavaliers. He had 25 points, nine assists, and six rebounds in his first ever NBA game. He's been the MVP of the All-Star game twice. He's only the third player to average 20 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists in a season.
He led the Cavs to their first ever Finals appearance last year. Does anyone remember Game 5 of the Pistons series? To top it off he led the NBA in scoring this year.
Oh, and I forgot to mention that LeBron is 2-0 lifetime in the playoffs against the Washington Wizards, and is about to make that 3-0 if the Cavs can win tomorrow night.
However, a select few from the Wizards think that this guy really isn't that good of a basketball player.
Washington guard Deshawn Stevenson called LeBron "overrated," while center Brendan Haywood mocked him by saying, "Awww, they are trying to hurt me," referring to LeBron's reaction after he was fouled hard a couple times by the Wizards.
My question is, What are these guys thinking?
First of all, Deshawn, every time you raise your hand in front of your face after you do something on the court, I laugh. Sure you may have been drafted in the first round, but face it, you'll never be an All-Star in this league. Before the whole "overrated" situation, you were best known for your beard bet with Drew Gooden.
And Haywood, seriously, what have you done in your career? You averaged 7.5 points and 5.9 rebounds since you were drafted in 2001 (by Cleveland). You're not even one of the best centers in the Eastern Conference.
Yet these two continue to run their mouths while LeBron and the Cavs continue to beat them.
Where is the rest of the Washington team in this whole ordeal? We know where Caron Butler was—out clubbing at the same place the Cavs were until Jay-Z's song came on and Damon Jones started cracking jokes on the Wizards. I don't blame him for leaving, but what was he doing there in the first place?
What about Arenas? Eddie Jordan? If I were him, the last thing I would want is my players stirring up one of the best players in the game. Someone in that organization needs to tell those two to shut their mouths and play some basketball.
You can't talk trash to LeBron...Well, at least these players can't.
Until the Wizards beat Cleveland during the playoffs, they have no room to say anything about Mr. James or the rest of the Cavs. It looks like they may have to wait yet another year to do that though, as the series goes back to Cleveland tomorrow night.
Not only will the Cavs fans be rocking in response to Stevenson's and Haywood's comments, but they also have some guy named LeBron James. Have you heard that he is overrated?
