Ochocinco Fails to Remember That He Has to Play In The AFC North.. TWICE
Chad Ochocinco is back at it. Coming off a season in which he caught only 4 touchdown passes for a mediocre 540 yards, the flamboyant Ochocinco is predicting the Cincinnati Bengals to make the playoffs this season.
During Bengals minicamp, the wide-out had this to say:
โItโs going to be a great year; weโre going to the playoffsโฆ Weโre going โฆ Weโre making progress. I mean, I see it, and I can come out on a limb and say what weโre going to doโ (ESPN.com).

Donโt get it twisted Chad, โprogressโ is one thing, but playoffs? Come on now, letโs be rationale. Itโs hard for a team who finished the regular season 4-11-1 to not experience progress. With QB Carson Palmer healthy and a solid draft, Iโm sure the Bengals are experiencing improvement, but predicting a postseason appearance for the โNati is just silly.
Itโs not surprising that Ochocinco is running his mouth and making noise this off-season. He is a clown, and that is what clowns do, entertain. I mean, the guy legally changed his last name from Johnson to Ochocinco.
What makes his prediction even more ridiculous is that Cincinnati doesnโt play in some cupcake division. The AFC North is extremely tough. The Bengals have to face the defending Super Bowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers and a tough Baltimore Ravens team twice. Given their rebuilding stage I left the Browns out, but even Cleveland split games with Cincinnati last season.
