Middleweight champion,Kelly Pavlik has many good fights ahead of him, despite his B-hop beatdown and his dominating performance against, paper tiger, Marco Antonio Rubio.Bob Arum penciled a date with ,The Contenders,Sergio"latin snake" Mora, but Pavliks camp cited a staph infection in Kelly's right hand, and called it off. This reporter suspects the money wasn't right and the draw was off....way off.Nobody wants to see pavlik blow up another chump, they want to see him fight legitimate champions.A deal is in the works for a Pavlik-Froch(super middleweight-168) battle of champions.Froch has a terminator-like style with an iron chin, and Pavlik has a very painful arsenal of strait punches and body hooks which seem to down his opponents with "accumulation",which many have said.Ok,good fight, whichpromises to be a K.O. affair with lots of trading in the middle of the ring as well as a display of iron man chins.Thats all well and good, however,Pavlik needs to come up 8 pounds and who the hell is Carl Froch? This game is about money and PPV draws right?Who the hell is Carl Froch?...so what if he's an english super middle champ,so what if he k'oed Jermain Taylor. He doesn't have any very good opponents other than Jean Pascal and Taylor.I mean if you don't know who Froch is you definitely have never heard of his competition. He doesn't fight across the pond very often, thus not fighting the best competition. It looks like a good fight for Pavlik, though the last time he came up in weight he got schooled B-hop style and couldn't get a combo to save his life.He does have some impressive wins via ko and has proven he can fight with the legends and go the distance. If this fight materializes it will be a great fight but only hard-core fight fans will know it,because they will be the only ones who see it.Pavlik knows that he  needs to get some more belts and more ko victories to cement his legacy, but hes not going to do it for free. The Froch ticket is not a one stop money fight nor is it a big enough event by itself,to generate much money, but what it is,is a shot at a belt and a credibility booster for Pavlik or a chance for Froch to prove that he can dominate and knock another top middle off.Arthur Abraham could also make a good match-up for Pavlik, with his mind over matter type will and hard hooks. It would be a good styles match-up and hopefully bring a quality draw for PPV,as "King Arthur" is much more well-known in the states.Of course Mikkel Kessler could be in the conversation as well as Felix sturm, but until those guys start fighting in the states they will and get a name, they will be big fish in a small pond somewhere in Europe.
