In Football, Lombardi Trophies Put Up. So to the Rest...Just Shut Up

I could care less what you think, could care less how far your team went ahead of mine. In the end, that means absolutely nothing. The authority to brag is solely for the ones who hoist what is in the picture above this blog (Vince Lombardi Trophy).

But the media said that because we won a playoff game and went a game further than yours, we have a right to say we are better. So we don't have to listen to you, 'cause your team hasn't won a playoff game yet.

Like I stated above, I could care less what you think and certainly don't care how far your so-called team went. Did they win the Super Bowl? Were they the ones hoisting the big prize when it was all over—said and done with?

No?

Than what the media said meant jack squat. It was lies to get you to believe what they wanted you to believe. Then, when your team failed to win the big one, they just left you on the side of the curb—having no more use for the team who went on ahead of the team they beat the week before.

Feel used? You should.

Because the truth is, you're only as good to the media as your wins and their lies can carry one another. And once you no longer matter, it's on to the next team. Next lies and false hype, please.

What is all this getting at?

Simple. For all you idiots out there clinging to the playoff argument, you're nothing more than mere pawns to a warped media who love it when you pit up against a fan of a team that has not seen his team win a playoff game.

For the record, that does not include those who over the years have seen their team win playoff games. Future or past, they do count.

Bottom line.

One winner, 31 losers, like it or not. That is the way it is. Either you have what is in the picture above this blog or you don't. It's put up or shut up.

So, unless you are the Steelers of last year, the best thing to do is shut up, because only the winner matters. The rest don't.
