The Beavers... An Under-dog of the Pac-10. Yet they have a star that might get them to the top.

He came from a prestiges Texas high school called Lamar Cons High School. He was their best player and came to the Oregon State Beavers. He is at a young age of 19, this young man has an amazing ability to squeeze by those big linemen and quick defensive backs and a powerful break tackle ability.

He is only a Sophomore yet he is one of the best in the league in yards. His stats are:

         Rushing                               Receiving

ATT  YDS  AVG  LNG TD       REC  YDS  AVG  LNG  TD

259  1253  4.8   33   11        29   247   8.5   41    1

A rookie got 1253 yards in one year!? That's got to say something for his next year...

Lamar Expresses their feelings as they say: "Jaquizz is one of the most honored prep players in the state of Texas.

He was nicknamed “Mr. Touchdown” by his teammates as he broke the state record for touchdowns with 136 of them.

Named the inaugural Texas Associated Press Player of the Year in 2007 after leading Lamar Consolidated to its first ever state title.

Added Texas Sports Writers Association 4A Offensive Player of the Year.

Rushed for 2,902 yards and 43 touchdowns as a senior – for his career he gained 8,245 yards, the sixth-highest total in the state.

Rushed for 100-plus yards 41 times (2nd in Texas all-time) and for 200-plus yards 21 times."
