NBA Mock Draft: The Second Round Top Three
Lot's of hype is surrounded by usually the overall top five best players in the NBA Draft.
While these athletes rightfully deserve an abundance of credit for their extreme talents, there are other outstanding ball players that are virtually unheard of until near the end of Draft day.
During the last five years, studs like Ramon Sessions, Paul Millsap, and Monta Ellis have each been selected in the second round of the NBA draft.
These players each have all-star potential in them and were practically unheard of during their draft day.
Here is my list of the top three athletes that will be selected in the second round and why I think they have a chance to exceed expectations in their near NBA future.
1. Sam Young (6'6", SF)
Young is extremely athletic and played all four years of college. He has an NBA body and will easily be able to compete with the big boys in the league.
Once Young gets drafted and begins to play with the NBA environment, I can really see him improving tremendously and becoming an outstanding basketball player in the league.
2. Jermaine Taylor (6'5", SG)
Straight out of UCF, Taylor has the raw talent to emerge as a serious player in the NBA. With his outstanding shooting range, all Taylor needs to do is attack the rim more to complete his amazing overall game.
If Taylor can bulk up during the offseason and get some work on his ball handling, I think this dude has a shot at being a great shooting-guard in the NBA.
3. Dionte Christmas (6'5", SG)
Have you ever seen this dude play? Christmas has a great basketball IQ and has a great amount of experience heading into the NBA.
He is an excellent offensive player and will definitely stand out on a team that is in need of a primary scorer. Watch out for this dude, he has massive potential!
