Chelsea Transfer News and Rumours Tracker: Week of January 20

    There was a flurry of transfer activity at Chelsea last week, with two players leaving and one returning. 

    Ryan Bertrand joined Aston Villa on loan, per the club's official website. Meanwhile, Kevin De Bruyne joined Wolfsburg for a fee of around £17 million, according Matt Barlow and Adam Shergold at the Daily Mail.

    Nemanja Matic made his much-anticipated return to Stamford Bridge, also per the club's official website, after leaving three years ago as a makeweight for David Luiz.

    Those deals should see the team's business in this window all but concluded. However, there are still a few names being linked with moves.

    Atletico Madrid are increasing their efforts to hang on to Thibaut Courtois, their highly rated goalkeeper who is on loan from Chelsea.
