Bucaneers Are Mum on Sears' Condition
The curious case of Arron Sears is obviously something the Tampa Bay Buccaneers absolutely do not want to talk about.
Butย questions were there on Thursday at One Buccaneer Place for Head Coach Raheem Morris, who is learning on the job thatย when little is said, more questions arise.
Morris was asked about Sears by both the Tampa Tribune and St. Petersburg Times.

His answer was simple:
"Obviously we're all concerned about Arron, but realistically, that's really a private matter," Morris said. "I respect Arron enough to not even talk about that. We'llย leave it as a private matter."
Tampa-based Pewter Report has drawn an interesting comparison between the Sears situation and another problem the Buccaneers faced back in 2003 with backup safety John Howell. At that time, the Buccaneers covered up the fact that Howell had been suffering from clinical depression and described him as having "family issues" instead.
Sears was only listed one time last season as suffering a concussion and that was on October 29. He missed the Kansas City game but played in the final seven games.
Thereย hasn't been any indication given that Sears may be suffering from post-concussion syndrome but current speculation grows that his current problem could be mental-health related.
Don't look for any information anytime soon, again it's the HIPAA laws that come into play and protect privacy.
Still, the Sears situation is getting stranger and stranger.ย Certainly, curiosity will grow and speculation will continue.
Next date to watch is the Buccaneers mandatory mini-camp June 16-18.
