Champions League: Liverpool 1-1 Chelsea - A Night Of Drama and Howlers...
Thank you Riise.
We didn't deserve the equaliser, but hey we'll take the goal...
Hopefully CFC will turn up and play next Wednesday—we were pretty dire, apart from Carvalho, and of course JT. Lampard bless him was absent and Malouda was as good as Ashley and Joe Cole (rubbish).

Kalou tried hard and did Anelka even get a touch??? Hopefully he'll get a game on Saturday and next Wednesday.
Liverpool dominated 20 minutes before the break and 20 minutes after the break. For a while in the 2nd half, I thought they would finish us off with another goal.
Chelsea had a bit of momentum going after Kalou came in the 57th min and I actually thought we would score a goal. He didn't change the game himself but his introduction sent a clear message to the players—"An away goal is a MUST".
I think Grant must be given credit for his positive substitutions, although I feel he left Anelka on the bench for far too long.
There were HUGE chances at both ends—most notably Torres and Malouda. I couldn't believe it when Cech saved from Torres, I would have put my house on him hitting the net from there. Malouda's chance was just as big and I was calling for him to be replaced when that chance went begging.
How Malouda ended up playing the whole game is beyond me. The man is shit and low on confidence and I was even more angry knowing we had Kalou and Anelka sitting on the bench.
Liverpool's goal had a bit of everything. Determination (Liverpool hassling the ball, forcing Lampard into the mistake), luck (Mascherano never intended to pass it into Kuyt's path, it was mis-scewed), mistake (Lampard dwelled too long on the ball and Makalele should have had Kuyt covered) and skill (Kuyt's finish was top draw).
I must admit though, the man of the match for me has to be Petr Cech and for a while I thought Liverpool would kill us off. Babel was Liverpool's best player on the night...
The momentum is now with Chelsea and with our sublime home record (unbeaten in 80 games and counting), I can't see Liverpool over-coming us at the Bridge.
All there's left to say on my part is—GOOD RESULT, PATHETIC PERFORMANCE.
