Pushing Young Superstars and the Future of the WWE

Chad RobinsonMay 31, 2009

As of the last couple of years it has become painfully obvious the WWE are focusing on there veterans. The two most obvious examples of this are Triple H and Batista.

Whilst I agree Batista is not a great in ring technician or great on the mic, in small doses and out of the main event Batista would be credible.

Triple H is a similar story not the best wrestler but a good worker and average mic skills.

At almost every pay-per-view one of these two will be in the main event whilst young talent like Shelton Benjamin and John Morrison sit in the wings.

The veterans are not going to be around forever and the WWE must establish a younger main event scene soon in preparation of the retirement of veterans.

I personally would like to see Triple H take on a student and help him along. For Triple H is very knowledgeable and could push a young guy like Morrison to the top.

Onto my next topic, who I believe to be future main eventers.

The guys I see as being capable of making the jump and becoming the faces of WWE are: John Morrison, Shelton Benjamin, Evan Bourne, The Miz, Ted Dibiase, Tyson Kidd and D.H. Smith.

Of course, you all expected me to list most of these with the exception of The Hz.

The Miz has proven he has the mic skills and charisma too be great and is constantly improving his in ring skills. I predict him to be a future Hall of Famer (big call i know).

There are also notable omissions from the list as well such as: CM Punk, Kofi Kingston, MVP.

CM Punk has a terrible look and his matches all are similar, with the same pattern and his finisher is one of the worst in the WWE.

Kofi is terrible on the mic and his move set is limited, although the moves he has are spectacular. Needs some work on more technical aspects.

MVP is already 35 and doesn't have too much time left in him. If he was too be pushed to the main event in wont be for a few years and by then he wont have time left.

His mic skills are probably the most impressive of any young superstars besides The Miz and John Morrison. His move set is good. His gimmick is great yet the age factor puts him at a severe disadvantage.
