Noah Vonleh challenges a North Florida shot.
Vonleh is a force when the opposing team has possession. His defensive rating is an absurdly low 82, per Sports-Reference, and it's by far the best between Hoosiers playing significant minutes.
His 13 steals and 12 blocks rank him one and two on the roster in those categories respectively and have contributed to his stellar rating.
This stat is so impressive because before this season, Vonleh played on the wing. For someone who just transitioned to the low block, he's looked extremely good, and his performance must be commended.
He's going against a type of player he isn't used to guarding, yet he's matching every post move with a defensive counter.
Outside of the Notre Dame game, the paint has been under his control, and when he is on the bench, the Hoosiers are a totally different team.
