WWE's Top Tweets, Instagram Photos and Viral Videos for Week of Nov. 25

Ryan DilbertJun 8, 2018

Thanksgiving and tributes inspired much of WWE's most intriguing social media items.

Instagram, Twitter and YouTube played home to WWE's most famous turkey, Superstars and Divas giving back to the community, a tip of the hat to Undertaker's Tombstone Piledriver, and remembrance of the late Maurice "Mad Dog" Vachon. Images of CM Punk, Daniel Bryan and Kaitlyn were among the week's social media highlights, too.

Undertaker made his debut on Thanksgiving Day in 1990.

He has been driving his foes' heads downward ever since. His Tombstone Piledriver is one of the most iconic moves in WWE history, often the final act before Undertaker celebrates victory. WWE celebrated the move and in turn, Undertaker's long career in video form.

This compilation captures every Tombstone he ever performed.

It is a hypnotizing video, one that shows Undertaker's evolution over the years. Koko B. Ware was his first victim. His last was CM Punk, who lost to The Deadman at WrestleMania 29.

Punk forming a team with Bryan has been one of the more exciting developments in recent weeks. They have had excellent bouts against The Wyatt Family and have stirred up nostalgia by borrowing The Hart Foundation's Hart Attack finisher.

WWE's Instagram page featured a shot of the new duo backstage.

It was one of the most discussed and liked WWE-related images on Instagram. There is nothing fancy about the photo; it just showcases the two former WWE champs as a unit, one that has some fans thinking back to the days of Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage forming The Mega Powers.

The necessity of this pairing was born from Bray Wyatt and his followers attacking both of them.

On Monday's Raw, those attacks escalated. Erick Rowan dragged a lifeless Bryan out of the arena and apparently abducted him.

WWE tweeted a shot of the incident with a creepy tagline.

Had Bryan not seen a closeup of the underside of Shawn Michaels' boots at Hell in a Cell, he may well have been holding the WWE Championship when John Cena called for a champion vs. champion match at TLC.

Some fans may not be psyched about it being Randy Orton in Bryan's place, but there is still plenty of excitement about this double-title bout. WWE posted a picture of both championships with the caption, "Champion vs. Champion. #WWETLC."

The announcement of that match has created buzz that builds on what WWE created during the Thanksgiving holiday and Survivor Series pay-per-view, two things built on tradition.

Survivor Series began as a showcase of elimination tag team matches. That has since been less of the event's focus, but remains one of the most appealing elements of the show.

WWE posted a video of some of the most surprising eliminations in that bout's history.

Bad News Brown, Owen Hart and Orton are on the receiving end of some of these unexpected exits. Dean Ambrose could make the argument to join them as he found himself out of Sunday's elimination match far faster than one would have predicted.

One of Survivor Series' most embarrassing moments came when the company dressed Hector Guerrero as a giant turkey at the 1990 event.

Thankfully, WWE is willing to poke fun at itself. That has resulted in the Gobbledy Gooker's revival in a Web series. One of the best episodes features the Gobbledy Gooker slacking off at work.

These aren't high art by any means, but amusing clips that borrow heavily from Office Space and other sources.

Charity is associated with the Thanksgiving holiday as much as turkey is. WWE didn't forget about that aspect of the season.

Alicia Fox, Ryback, Eva Marie all stopped by the The Greater Boston Food Bank to help sort and pack food for the needy.

Ryback is one complex bully. One minute he's mashing food into an employee's face and the next he's making sure hungry folks are getting enough to eat.

One of the Divas not at the food bank found her way on this list by reminding us of a recent Raw. Kaitlyn, new to Instagram, started her page off the right way.

Firstly, she reminded us how excellent she looked in western gear for last week's Raw Country.

She followed that up with an unsettling/hilarious brief parody of Kanye West's "Bound 2" music video.

The week was not just filled with nice legs, goofy moments and celebrating new teams; it was also about remembering someone we lost. Hall of Famer Mad Dog Vachon passed away last week and WWE put together a touching tribute video for him.

The WWE production team nailed this look back at Vachon's career, from his Olympic history to him terrorizing the industry's babyfaces in the AWA and elsewhere.

Say what you want about WWE's booking decisions and prospect-naming skills, the one thing it has been getting right as of late is showing class in how it honors wrestling's fallen greats.
