For the past week, my friends, family, colleagues, soft pretzel vendors, Wendy's drive thru attendants, and a variety of sport lovers have been arguing, fighting and debating over which sport is the toughest. While the age old question itself may be the toughest... I'm hoping it will soon be answered.

When this question is posed, the obvious answers arrive..Ice Hockey..(not field hockey....cmon now people), football, soccer (or futbol for my international readers..)and rugby. I myself have been playing ice hockey for about 8 years and as of right now it is on the top of my list.

If you look at this list..I believe you can quickly rule out soccer and football and just as greatly debate over rugby and hockey.

Being a hockey player, Ive had numerous concussions..broken bones and a few torn muscles. Ive also seen one of my teammates actually break a rib and have one of his kidneys lacerated....needless to say his pee was not yellow...but enough on that.

Yet, as i think about it, I have visisted on numerous occasions a good friend of mine in the hospital due to rugby related injuries, also including a long list of broken bones, ribs, and torn muscles. So, which is the toughest?

One thing I must say is I can not answer this question completely for I do not know enough about rugby nor have I ever played it.

So, I ask you...the bruised bodied....broken boned...concussion filled players of these fine sports...Which is tougher?

Is it Ice Hockey....a sport in which players get stitched up in between shifts to go on the ice and get hammered with shots and hits..(and maybe even water bottles....thanks to Mr.Tortella)...or

Is it Rugby....a sport where players get tackled so hard and with very little padding I might add..that they spend weeks in the hospital?

I leave it to you. Just as a side note..please no arguments over which is "harder" to play..these sports are all very different and all equally hard to play.
