Head Coach Jim Zorn: After originally being hired as offensive coordinator, Jim Zorn became the Washington Redskins 27 th Head Coach on February 9, 2008. Zorn was formerly a quarterbacks coach with the Seattle Seahawks from 2001-2007, he helped the ascension of Matt Hasselbeck to becoming one of the NFC's elite quarterbacks. Along with being the Head Coach Zorn is also quarterbacks coach and play caller, many feel Zorn is wearing too many hats. Zorn was also a Pro quarterback from 1976 to 1987, he spent most of his time in Seattle where he was first team all pro in 1978.
Greg Blache Defensive Coordinator: Greg Blache replaced Greg Williams as Defensive Coordinator following the 2007 season, in his first season the Redskins finished 4th in total defense. Blache's defenses have been known for creating pressure through his various blitz packages, before joining the Redskins Blache spent 5 seasons as Defensive Coordinator of the Chicago Bears. Blache calls all the defensive plays for the Redskins. During the time that Blache has spent with the Redskins only once in 5 seasons has their defense finished outside the top 10 in total defense.
Joe Bugel Offensive Line Coach: Joe Bugel rejoined the Redskins in 2004 assuming the position that he held from 1981-89. Bugel was the architech of the famed "Hogs" which helped the Redskins win two Super Bowls in the 80's. During Bugel's second stint the Redskins have had a 1000 yard rusher each season, and have finished in the top 8 in total rushing three times. During his 31 years in the NFL, Bugel has been a Head Coach twice Phoenix Cardinals 1990-93 and the Oakland Raiders in 1997.
Sherman Smith Offensive Coordinator: Sherman joined the Redskin staff in 2008, Smith works with Jim Zorn in the developing of the offensive game plan. Zorn and Smith were teammates with Seahawks from 1976-82. Before joining the Redskins Smith spent 13 seasons as running backs coach with Tennessee Titans. Eddie George flourished under Smith rushing for over 10,000 yards for his career.
