EPL Saturday : Carlos Tevez Rescues Manchester United, Liverpool Sink Fulham

Salaar ShamsiApr 19, 2008

If there's somebody who's disappointment can be justified after this Saturday's Premier League action it would not be Sir Alex Ferguson neither would it be his counterpart Mark Hughes,it has to be Brad Friedel.

The American goalkeeper constantly denied the likes of Rooney,Ronaldo and Tevez to keep United at bay but it was Carlos Tevez who found a way pass Friedel as late as the 88th minute.

Roque Santa Cruz had given Rovers the lead in the 21st minute and it would have counted as a winner only for Tevez to equalise late in the second half. The Argentinian striker turned a flick from Paul Scholes to keep United three points ahead of Chelsea going into next week's all important clash at Stamford Bridge.
