Eagles Playbook: Leading Us Down The Road to Victory!

During this off-season, the Philadelphia Eagles have changed their team playbook in hopes of flying higher.

The Birds are spreading their wings by spreading their offense.

Quarterback Donovan McNabb has always longed for quick receivers with strong hands. With the recent additions- Wide Receivers Jeremy Maclin and Brandon Gibson, Running Back LeSean McCoy, and Tight End Cornelius Ingram- I believe we'll have a happy quarterback and an ecstatic city.

These additions combined with our existing weapons- Westbrook, Baskett, Curtis, etc.- will give us in advantage. Wide Receivers DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin will provide a great one-two punch with their speed.

Head Coach Andy Reid and Offensive Coordinator Marty Mornhingweg can become very creative in whatever combination they choose to form. Expect the offense to cause a lot of mismatches in the opposing team's defense.

Defensive Coordinator, Jim Johnson, is taking an indefinite leave of abscence to undergo medical treatment. Sean McDermott is taking over for Johnson as the interim defensive coordinator.

The defense has also acquired recent additions- Defensive Backs Victor Harris and Ellis Hobbs- who will be a big help to our Corner Backs Sheldon Brown, Joselio Hanson and
Asante Samuel.

With the loss of Safety Brian Dawkins, Quintin Mikell will step into that leadership role.

With the unfortunate loss of both Brian Dawkins (Denver Broncos) and Jim Johnson (medical leave), the Eagles have two important holes to fill. Nevertheless, I do believe that our team has the depth needed and will be prepared for the upcoming season.
